Ofrenda is about keeping a tradition alive by celebrating El Dia De Los Muertos and cultivating within children a relationship with the dead.
The exhibition is about honoring El Dia De Los Muertos as a ceremony and no longer a glorified holiday. The Exhibition would take place the week of El Dia De Los Muertos, November 1st and 2nd, and the children will spend the week bringing together all the components needed to build an altar in memory of a beloved deceased family member. The Exhibition would end with a community gathering where there would be food, music, dancing and the children's altars on display for all to see.
