Employment

Aspen Square Management, West Springfield, MA, US, Landscape Designer/Project Manager

I worked for a property management and investment company that purchased apartment complexes and rehabilitated them to either sell or rent at a higher rate. I was a traveling project manager that would go to various properties and design and oversee the construction of the landscapes around the properties. I was in charge of ordering supplies, organizing temp-hire and full-time employees, designing the project and also got my hands dirty and helped with construction.

Education

University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, US, Bachelors, Landscape Architecture

The program touched on many subjects but a lot of it focused on sustainability in design. I took CAD classes in the Architecture school as well as forestry, botany, horticulture, and Architecture history classes. There were several studio classes that used hand-drawings instead of CAD. We even touched on using Photoshop and Premier to make graphics and renderings for presentations.
