This coffee table, designed as part of a handcraft course, is comprised entirely of salvaged and scrap material. Several layers of wood were laminated to create the 2” frame, with the outermost layer a collage of several species of reclaimed hardwood pieces. Due to the slender, inset legs, the frame floats gently above the ground. The construction includes several means of joinery including biscuits, miters, hidden splines, and glue lamination.
