The presence of 7 magnificent trees (Palos Borracho) encouraged the idea of organizing
the building around them creating an enclosed outdoor patio that will serve as recreation for
both teachers and students.
At the same time, the laboratories spaces adopted a "shed" type section to provide them
with natural light from the south providing an “industrial” look where you can “manufacture”
knowledge. The decision to locate the auditorium (for the whole campus) oriented on the
main axis to facilitate accessibility also served as a boundary to the entrance space for the
building facing the plaza. The façade that faces Riobamba street is design to mitigate the
different scales and height between the building and the city outside the campus. The
structure of the building is designed to be concrete prefabricated pieces and shells.
