This new headquarters and research center for a renowned international company in Singapore has been thoughtfully designed to prioritize both functionality and cost-effectiveness. Located near the Kallang River, the building’s main volume appears to “float” over a series of regular pillars, creating a welcoming, covered space for visitors and users. The ground floor volume is separated from the upper tower by a void, which houses a naturally ventilated car park.
The building’s massing concept is grounded in a simple and practical floor plan, with a central spine that contains vertical circulation, common toilets, mechanical rooms, and an airwell that floods the common circulation areas with natural light. The project aims to showcase the company’s expertise and products in automation, robotics, and green energy.
The project has achieved BCA’s GreenMark Platinum certification, a testament to its sustainability and eco-friendliness.
