This space was meant to be used as a gathering space for faculty meetings as well as extra space for the cafe, but was not functional due to poor acoustics. The panels were chosen after calculations, then a total remodel of the space was done. The ceiling line was dropped to help disguise the panels, the lighting was put back in the cove of the drop ceiling as well as decorative lighting in the middle of the room. A metallic paint was used to reflect a soft glow down to the seating below. A custom made rug was placed in the center of the room to also help the attenuation of sound. The room is now used frequently, adding the faculty lounge on the list of occupants twice a week.
