Project Completion:  2020

Project Size:  2,765 Square Feet

Narrative: Located in the Cahuenga Pass Neighborhood in Los Angeles, our goal was to create a family friendly sports bar that could be enjoyed by the community, not just during sporting events, but everyday. In order to create a sports bar for everyone in the community, we developed a neutral scheme that non sports fans would feel comfortable in and the most die hard sports fans would feel right at home. To achieve this, we opened the restaurant to the street using bi-fold hangar doors, creating a comfortable, open, and welcoming environment. We also incorporated, in an inconspicuous manner, iconic sports elements such as the Court-Side Bar, the Bat Wall, and the Cage Match Ceiling, all of which assist in creating a neighborhood friendly sports bar that welcomes everyone in the community.

If you’ve ever been to a sports bar in the Los Angeles area, you might realize the lack of attention paid to the location of the TV screens in respect to the seating area and viewing angles. When watching a game, at least one or more of your friends (hopefully not you), is not able to sit, eat, drink, and comfortably watch the game. Therefore, it was a priority to provide each patron optimal viewing angles from every seat in the house including the outdoor patio!

The Cage Match Ceiling references chain-link cages used in Mix Martial Arts arenas, the ceiling hides the mechanical system while integrating the televisions and lighting into a singular element that provides patrons with unobstructed views.
