I am a first generation college student. I
graduated from Lincoln University with a Bachelors of Science
in Biology as well as a B.S. in Religious studies. In
2017 after working full time, I shifted gears and went back
to school for a Masters in Architecture at Woodbury University.
During my first year of school I was hired by the
Architecture and Design Museum as an associate curator/ exhibitions
associate. In April 2019 I began writing.

Currently, I'm is working for Pico Union housing corporation,
as well as 4 part time jobs while balancing wrapping
up the final year of my degree. I have also began a design/
build project in Watts, CA for my thesis, where I'm developing
a Black aesthetic in architecture in an effort to
design against gentrification in Black communities. I am
also designing a mobile art gallery for a team of artists in
Philadelphia, where I'm continuing his research in finding
and developing the Black aesthetic.

I believe architecture and good design should not only
be for the privileged. Every community deserves to be proud
of the built environment around them, and the built environment
around them should be based on the cultures of the people
who live there; regardless of income, race, and gender.
My goal for my career is to design and build community
based projects for lower and middle class communities, as
well as residential design and renovation.
