Formerly the U.S. Naval Training Center this hotel is one of three master planned hotels or this site each representing and celebrating San Diego’s rich Naval traditions. Each hotel represents a distinct brand and market tier creating a destination within the destination while offering one unified resort experience.

Hampton Inn & Suites, features 181 spacious guestrooms, state-of-the-art fitness center, breakfast area buffet, meeting room, business center, and an outdoor pool and patio with a firepit and view of the harbor.

The design inside and out takes on the Aviators ethos and aesthetic of fast, sleek lines, transparency of façade and clean functional spaces. You can see this in the exterior articulating façade with its contrasting colors, it embodies those themes of efficiency and functionality.

The two-story lobby is designed with exposed heavy timber structures with slopped butterfly roofs creating an open, livable space that is bright, fresh and airy complete with a two-story hangar style door. A mix of warm woods, contemporary accents, and bold, iconic use of color brings this custom hotel in for a smooth landing.

Finishing touches, including a commissioned feature mobile of paper airplanes, tabletop inset maps of flight patterns from the neighboring San Diego airport and aviation related artifacts make this the Top Gun of the Hampton brand.
