Duckett Design Group, Inc provided a handsome design to one of the most historical hospitals in Atlanta.  There was a desperate need for a Children’s Hospital in the heart of the city and DDG was the best option to make this new space come alive.  The existing hospital was demoed in 2007, in order to make room for a fantasy filled, healing space.  Even though many children come to this hospital with an illness once they arrive they tend to forget about how sick they really are.  The hospital is like a wonderland, with radiant colors, organic elements, animal textured fabrics, and floor patterns with so much sparkle you’d think it was better than walking the yellow brick road. 
Each area of expertise has its own color palette, which helps in way finding.  The facility includes an Asthma Center, Child Protection Clinic, Primary Care Unit, Trauma/Emergency, and the Aflac Blood Disorders Service Sickle Cell Disease and Hematology Clinic.  
The lively palettes named after beautiful birds and tropical fruit are also used as a form of healing.
