Danya Li, a recent graduate, received her Bachelor of Architecture Degree at Syracuse University’s School of Architecture and a Minor in Sustainable Construction Management from SUNY-ESF. Her thesis, The Denuded Image, explores image culture’s intersection with architecture, contributing to the discussion of visual culture - this thesis was nominated for the 2019 Thesis Prize Jury.
With a strong interest in photography, graphics, and architecture, Danya’s design skills cover both analog and digital practices. Her passion drives her vigorous work ethic, which has allowed her to serve as SU - School of Architecture’s Social Media Manager for the past couple of years in addition to working as an Undergraduate TA for Architecture Representation and a Research Assistant to professors at SU SoA. Her background in photography and art have allowed for a unique way of seeing – she intends to keep these interests as driving forces for when she continues working post-grad.
Recent projects include freelance work including graphic design, branding, and miniature model making. The most recent projects include models for Coming Soon NY's Winter Catalog and dioramas for Cold Picnic's most recent rug collection launch.
