Bridge House

This design creates a complementary relationship between architecture and landscape, and the industrial elements of the structure contrast with the surrounding organic forms.

Furthering this unique composition, the house bridges a creek which flows through the site and into a small lake, situated at the southeast corner of the property.

The plan of the house is laid out in three pieces: the northeast and southwest wings, and the bridge.  The wings anchor the building, housing the private functions with limited transparency, while the bridge holds the public spaces.  The openness of the bridge allows ample views to the surrounding nature and an easy flow of space.
