Kent County courthouse is the state courthouse of Delaware.  The project included a Master Plan, programming and design services for a new 120,000 sf Superior and Common Pleas courthouse, adjacent to the historic courthouse on Legislative Square.  The expansion, completed in 2011, is within a very constrained site and exceeds zoning.  The project developed creative approaches to utilize the sites of neighboring buildings to provide an opportunity for the courthouse to face the Legislative Square across from the state capitol building, and for the re-use of the old courthouse for non-criminal functions
