Our goal was to design a performance, office, and community-oriented building that balances natural light and heat control, while also providing a comfortable and sustainable working space.
The design prioritizes the integration of strategic massing design and shading strategies, such as louvers and overhangs to minimize the use of energy-intensive air conditioning systems.
The building’s orientation and the location of openings are strategically designed to
maximize daylight while minimizing direct sun exposure during the hottest parts of the day. The material selection and color scheme also contribute to heat reflection and absorption, optimizing thermal comfort.
Ultimately, we have developed innovative solutions that address the challenges of
climate change and urban heat island while creating a healthy and enjoyable
environment for its occupants.
