The Alton Towers Hotel Lobby has been turned into a mythical fantasy cave that brings guests into the fantasy experience surrounded by mythical creatures, a cave ambience and underwater features. The reception desk is easily accessed from the main entrance doors after an underwater experience through the aqua tunnel and has a seating area incorporated into the rocks with large circulation space. Also in the lobby is a gift shop to buy souvenirs and a separate ticket booth promoting the di­fferent activities there is on offer around the park and hotel. Stairs and lifts are available to gain access to the floors below and above the lobby. This design for the Alton Towers lobby works well for its surroundings as Alton Towers is all about another world and for guests to feel part of a dream or fantasy world without the worries of everyday life so to put them in surroundings that can help to put them in that zone and frame of mind is what it should all be about. The materials I used are very organic and natural so it helps the space to look authentic and creates the right atmosphere for a cave scheme
