About 

My name is Cierra Higgins and I am a young designer finishing up her Masters in Architecture and Masters in Urban Design at Washington University in St. Louis. I'm interested in continuing to learn and practice how design within the built environment can facilitate a more equitable and sustainable society.

Washington University in St. Louis, Saint Louis, MO, US, Teaching Assistant

I work as the teaching assistant for a research heavy seminar entitled "Segregation by Design." It is my duty to help students navigate through their research and help graphically represent their findings into a book that will be published at the end of the semester. At the end of the semester, it will be my job to take the student's final work and make sure it is formatted and graphically coherent within the book's template.

I help maintain the efficiency and cleanliness of the lighting studio, dark rooms, and printing labs where students are able to make reservations for photographing and printing coursework.

It was my duty to maintain cleanliness and stock on the sales floor while also checking out and assisting customers with anything they needed help with. I am currently finalizing my thesis semester at Washington University in St. Louis where I will be getting my Masters in Architecture as well as a Masters in Urban Design. During my time at Wash U I have served as the President of the National Organization of Minority Architects, the Vice President of Architecture of the Graduate Architecture Council, the Vice President of the Graduate Architecture Council, and the Sam Fox Representative of the Graduate Professional Council. Over the course of my Architectural studies I have been given the privilege to travel and study in New York City, NY, Barcelona, Spain, and Venice, Italy.
