The Hill East Waterfront redevelopment’s plan is to revitalize a part of Washington that has been forgotten.  A sustainable five-minute walking community is the ultimate goal.  This design competition’s focal point is a block within this community; where twenty-one duplex townhouses and ten single-room occupancy units are to occupy this space.  The townhouses are gauged toward young professionals and the SRO units for immigrant workers.
