Cecilia Hui holds a Master of Architecture from Yale University and Honors Bachelor of Arts from University of Toronto. She worked at WHY, Nordic, UNStudio, Takenaka Corporation, Aedas, Benoy and DavidClovers and practiced in five different countries. Ms Hui is a multicultural-minded Architectural designer with eight years of professional experience who has practiced in five cities. A candidate with strong abilities to communicate clearly and concisely, visually, and orally, hand sketching skills, good problem-solving abilities, solid conceptual and design process skills. A team member with strengths working effectively in a team environment and as an individual to complete tasks with accuracy, precision and with strong attention to detail. A manager who has integrity, trust, and commitment, sets an example for others, and communicates effectively with consultants to ensure design objectives, project design schedule, deadlines, and budget are met.
Ms. Hui was the 2016 recipient of the Takenaka Corporation Travel award and internship awarded by Yale University. In 2014, She received an Honorable Mention for her affordable housing design proposal for Make Happen Challenge Competition in the Regional Municipality of York, Canada. Her research work includes examining Canadian Northern landscape conducted at Infranet Lab & Lateral Office; Chinese social housing strategies conducted at the Center for Housing Innovation, Department of Architecture at The Chinese University of Hong Kong; and sustainability design at the Environmental Teaching Laboratory at The University of Hong Kong. Ms. Hui is actively looking for opportunities to work with institutional clients to engage with the community, and redefine architecture through innovative sustainable design solutions, project delivery methods, and experimentation with new construction means and technologies for a better future.
