For this play I was tasked to design a set for this production. There was no budget, I just had to capture the scenes and design sets that I thought worked best for the play. I decided to set the play in a post apocalyptic period.

Concept:
My concept will place the set in an old run down subway station. Reflecting the idea that “crazies” live in the depths  seeking refuge during an apocalyptic time. It will take place some where in New York in a post-apocalyptic period. The time period will reflect that of modern times. The set will show a portion of the tube with a blown out roof revealing the sky. There will be some scaffolding and other junk laying around in the station to re enforce the post apocalyptic time and to allow for a balcony of sorts. There will be a broken down subway cart that is semi functional but can also be used to cross platforms.
