A large scale art facade built as part of the West Hollywood Design District for LULU Lemon, in collaboration with Quadrangle Architects. Consisting of unique custom laser cut aluminum panels, the system is coated with a UV cured printed pattern depicting a photo of the Santa Monica Mountains, abstracted with a 'ivy' motif, then coated with a ceramic based clear coat.
The panels are designed to expand and contract over time, thus creating a organic "leaf" effect as internal forces peel the individual panels slightly out of alignment.
