As part of the Near West Side Initiative at Syracuse University, Brininstool + Lynch was tasked with prototyping the future of development in the area. A full renovation of the former Lincoln Supply Building, the project was a collaboration between the office, Syracuse University School of Architecture, The Syracuse Center of Excellence, UPSTATE, and numerous community consultants and stakeholders. The multi-use building embraces its industrial past while incorporating bright finely detailed spaces. From board form to polished and painted to raw, concrete and steel are deployed in varied surface finishes. Integrated into the design, gray and black-water systems us passive and active technologies to achieve a LEED Platinum rating.
