Legend has it that we architects are selling frozen music, so to gladsomely diversify the origin of our creative process, let's talk about music, shall we?
Mixtape wants to be a source of inspiration, as well as the soundtrack of your life in design, be it while avidly pulling another allnighter before final presentation, or while berserking over Autocad in your cubicle, or just for shutting up that annoying kid in your studio who always plays his music selection for everybody to—painfully—hear it. (Seriously, keep it down, dude.) Back in architecture school, I've spent a handful of long nights at my desk thinking, I cannot possibly listen to my entire Radiohead collection one more time—there must be something new out there. Oh, and inspiring, too? Yes, please.
Mixtape will feature sounds with beats and without beats, tunes made with electricity and unplugged, tracks composed by humans and algorithms, high high brow brow and just plain dumb (and so good).
I'll try to post a song a day for you, or every other, and worry not—I will spare you lengthy recensions about how this, too, is most possibly the best track ever made—architects've got shit to do, so let's all carry on and, well, talk about music.

Fabiana - congratulations also on your first blog post. Yes, the BBC's Radio One is high up also on my list of musical inspiration sources. I love Benji B's show for experimental electronic music: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b015b4yb
What about Gilles Peterson's show? He always has great guests...
