sorry sorry. my computer is broken so i can't post...i'm alive, doing fine and soon to be busy with design studios. hopefully next week my laptop will be up and running...
I am curious as to what kind of program you are in there; could you elaborate in a future post? I am surprised that anything starts in April.
Also, obviously, what is the language situation like? And, eventually, I hope you will comment on the qualities of the school itself. When I first came to the Columbia GSAPP I was surprised at how few Japanese students there were, especially compared to the seeming proliferation of Korean students. I was told that Japan has a much stronger and better national architecture culture, so students tend to stay there rather than seek education in New York. Koreans apparently need to travel to get their archi-fix. I doubt that's the whole story, but anyway this is just to say that I hope you'll update with your impressions, and maybe a bit about your background, for perspective.
hey! yes...actually the things you are mentioning are the things i have paid attention to and when having a stable computer i want to sit down and write about the issues i have been dealing with conserning the cultural differencies and how for example social codes in tokyo univ. makes you work and act differently.
sorry for not being able to post right now but next week...i promise! :) thanks for your comment George.
