Lucid Motors’ Studio in Scottsdale, AZ, is the embodiment of unassuming luxury and a showcase for its innovative debut electric vehicle - the Lucid Air. The company’s mission is to inspire the adoption of sustainable energy by creating the most captivating luxury electric vehicles, centered around the human experience

Blitz partnered with Lucid to deliver an interactive Studio that transports customers into a realm of sustainability and luxury. Lucid’s brand identity for their Studios is a nod to California and contemporary design, with the Air taking center stage.

The Studio’s thoughtful design and highly detailed execution convey a sense of automotive manufacturing precision. A natural palette including wood and stone compliment the technological marvel that is the Lucid Air. Comfortable consultation spaces combined with a virtual reality experience make this Studio an inviting hub for digital exploration, and provides an in-depth experience for their customers to learn about the brand, their product and their technology.

The store’s façade consists of precise black metal panels and ultra-clear glass. The interior is brilliantly lit in promotion of the Lucid Air and supporting displays. The interior incorporates plaster, wood, stone, and tile with precise connections indicative of the Lucid brand. Our client’s simple, yet luxurious pallet, paired with its bilateral technology, results in a fully connected and personalized journey for customers.

The craft of the space was a brand imperative. All material alignments were to be precise, from floor to wall to ceiling, minimizing seams wherever possible. Material transitions were rigorously tracked vertically and horizontally throughout the space. The ceiling design features a unique and rigorous approach to corralling overhead items such as lighting, sprinklers, life safety and other devices all of which are integrated into a series of custom designed recessed trays to eliminate visual clutter. The panelized wood ceiling is a specialized and customized design element.
