My first project at COBE, which I worked on with one architect, was to design the public space of a university campus. One challenge was to integrate a green landscape with an urban context. To do so, we attempted to create a unified formal language facilitating multiple functions.
The concept I devised was to use natural undulations in the green area to become functional urban undulations which would create informal auditoriums, store bikes and differentiate spaces. To place green pockets I used attractors incl. circulation, views and exiting topography.
