Mini-lot subdivisions, single-family townhomes
These 6 homes are individual, fee simple lots that were created as part of a mini-lot subdivision of a larger lot. The concept to the project was derived from the notion of a ‘Bento Box’, where various components would slide, mirror, and interchange from house to house to adapt to the context based on it’s location on the site. The houses make maximum use of space while still providing a large open feel akin to an artists loft. This type of space, as well as the material of these homes relate to the current arts community that has sprung up in the Dogtown neighborhood.
