ESTE ES UN PROYECTO DE NOSOTROS PARA NOSOTROS: EL DISEÑO Y CONSTRUCCIÓN DE NUESTRO PROPIO HOGAR.

Nosotros creemos que no existe un proyecto que esté verdaderamente resuelto si no tiene una idea de trasfondo realmente sólida que le de sustento. En este caso después de mucho platicar, analizar y estudiar las posibilidades del espacio que teníamos sobre el cual construir, llegamos a la conclusión de que tenía que ser un lugar que nos alejara del estrés y tedio qué puede llegar a ser la rutina en una ciudad tan caótica y enorme cómo lo es la ciudad de México.

Así que después de mucho analizarlo llegamos a la conclusión de que nuestro hogar no debía ser un espacio de transición al que únicamente se llegara a comer o dormir, como un hotel, sólo para despertar y regresar al otro día a la rutina diaria.

Queríamos un lugar que fuera un escape, Un refugio el que verdaderamente quisiéramos llegar todos los días, y para eso necesitábamos una idea que se alejara lo más posible de casi cualquier otro proyecto que por lo general se desarrolla dentro de cualquier ciudad.  México según estudios es uno de los países que menos vacaciones otorga a los trabajadores en el mundo. Así que pensamos que si no podíamos salir a disfrutar de las playas o el campo tal vez podríamos traer toda esa sensación a nuestro hogar.

Así, nuestro punto de salida fue un espacio para vacacionar dentro de la ciudad misma, un portal de transición que nos llevara de un punto a otro, que al cruzar la puerta pasáramos de las calles, el tráfico y el caos; a un espacio abierto, lleno de luz, palmeras y espacios para descansar. Así pues, Hicimos una casa de vacaciones justo en el centro de la ciudad.

We believe that there is no project that is truly resolved if it does not have a truly resolved background idea to support it. In this case, after a lot of talking, analyzing and studying the possibilities of the space we had on wich to build, we came to the conclusion that it had to be a place that would take us away from stress and boredom that living in a city as chaotic and huge as Mexico City can be.

 So after analyzing it we concluded that our home should not be a transition space to which one only gets to eat or sleep, like a hotel, only to woke up and return the next day to the daily routine.

We wanted a place that was an escape, a refuge that we really wanted to arrive every day, and for that we needed an idea that was as far as possible from almost any other project that usually takes place within any city. According to studies, Mexico is one of the countries that grants less vacations to workers in the world. So we thought that if we couldn't go out and enjoy the beaches or the countryside, maybe we could have all that feeling in our home.

Thus, our starting point was a space to vacation within the city itself, a transition portal that would take us from one point to another, that when crossing the door we would pass from the streets, traffic and chaos; to an open space , full of light, palm trees and spaces to rest. So we made a vacation home right in middle of the city.
