Villa in the forest

The architecture of the house is mainly determined by the uniqueness of the site, located in an untouched forest. The main task was to harmoniously integrate the building into the natural context with the least damage to the forest fund. One of the goals was as well minimizing the cutting of existing trees.

The house is a laconic rectangular volume, consisting of two blocks, united by a common terrace and a roof. A feeling of lightness and penetration is created by the bypass gallery with a rhythm of thin elegant columns, the through passage and the panoramic windows.

The planning structure of the living unit is simple and concise. The living and additional spaces are forming a longitudinal gallery, on the one end of which is the master bedroom, and on the other is the spacious kitchen-living room. The green outdoor courtyard, located inside the residential block, the glazed perimeter of the master bedroom, the through glazing of the kitchen-living room all contribute to integrating the surrounding nature into the architecture of the house.
