Baccarat Madison Avenue

The design at Baccarat’s new flagship at 635 Madison Avenue extracts the delicate details and rigid techniques from the cutting of crystal and executes them in an architectural manner. These moves display the craftsmanship and heritage of Baccarat Crystal in a contemporary light.

A bright, two-story glass-frit façade is patterned with arrays of triangles, creating a 3-dimensional illusion on a 2-dimensional surface. Interior entry walls are wrapped in geometric strips of Macassar ebony and mirror. These facets reflect both the natural light from the façade and tiers of grand crystal chandeliers. Nods to French design, such as patterned wood flooring and ceiling trim details, infuse the space. Macassar ebony and Nordic Black granite dominate the palette with pockets of white gold leaf highlighting product. Massive tiered display platforms serve to showcase product and allow for multiple levels of interaction.
