The Trans Siberian Pit Stops architecture competition is calling for submissions for a tourist centre that can be replicated along the world famous train route.
Organized in cooperation with CDS NORD property developers, the Trans Siberian Pit Stops architecture competition is looking for designs for an instantly recognizable structure that would become a part of this iconic attraction, fitting in with the history and identity of one of the most well-travelled routes in the world. There is no specific site selected for this competition, however the winning proposals that will be considered for construction will be situated at various locations along the rail network. Therefore the winning designs will need to be easily replicated into identical structures, and comfortably fit into one work station that can be situated in multiple locations and function in all weather conditions. Some of potential construction sites:
The Trans Siberian Pit Stop’s main function would be to provide the most essential information about the area that particular stop is located in. This would include information about nearby tourist attractions, provide assistance to tourists, as well as information on local accommodation options.
Since the winning designs for this architecture competition will be considered for construction, they will need to show a strong identity that is easily recognized along the trans siberian train network. The Trans Siberian Pit Stops architecture competition is a chance for architecture enthusiasts to combine the rich cultural history of this iconic train route with modern architecture techniques, to create something that will become a part of this world famous landmark.
