Symantec

Symantec wanted to create an environment that would bring their brand and culture to life. The client wanted a workspace the reflected the mission of the company, and emanated feelings of strength and protection - true to the brand.

Emphasis was placed on fostering interactions and collaboration between employees and creating connections within the team on a global level. The project was designed to both LEED and WELL Building standards, being among the first in Northern California to achieve Silver WELL Certification. Employee health and wellbeing was considered in every design decision. Employees are encouraged to experience movement throughout the space, increasing their overall health while simultaneously encouraging unexpected employee connections. The interconnecting staircase was a design feature that sacrificed floor space for vertical connection, while the protruding meeting spaces celebrate community and transparency. The result is an exciting conglomeration of parts that express this focus on human and environmental sustainability. The project is modern and sophisticated, maintaining an element of quirkiness and the unexpected.
