YOUTH HOUSE

The development of San Pietro district reinforces a growing new community on the north of Montecalvo. A mixed-use development, its ingredients are designed to promote a lively urban quarter where people can live, work and enjoy life in the heart of the city.
The design has focused on a public building that concentrates within it various activities directed towards the young and the social development of communities. The building is partially underground and its social soul contains a double meaning: the public square, and social areas. The public square, on the first floor, which can occasionally house exhibitions, enjoying a fantastic view on the city skyline, while the spaces on the ground floor are engaged in the community activities and the project base premise was to create functional and transparent spaces, open to the city, but also environmentally friendly and especially flexibles and variables. The areas that put forward the courtyard, the heart of the project, are exhibition areas, book shop and library, conference room. The entrance porch, the inside areas and the elevated square, everything founded and realized for a pleasant public space and full of life that makes revive the neighborhood.
