This teahouse/ spa was based off the idea of a Japanese Onsen and sited in the Mississippi gorge regional park, just south of St. Anthony falls in downtown Minneapolis. The building uses transparency to bring nature into a 900sf pavilion, in which a teahouse and Onsen are united via a central plinth space. The building also serves as a trailhead to access other hot baths sequestered into the hillside.
