Public space in a city can be compared to a ligament in the body which connects completely different elements such as bones, joints and muscles. Public space in an urban context spatially connects different elements in a city and serves as a transitional area. In the case of Radicka Street, the public space created by the overpass connects Radnicka, the foot bridge and the different retail space. LIke ligaments in a body, the role of public space in an urban context can be frequently underestimated, but it creates an “invisible” infrastructure in which the city is joined spatially connecting completely different elements.
