$1 billion mixed-use office and hotel skyscraper in downtown Los Angeles.
Part of a mixed-use 900-room hotel, retail, and office complex, the building is to be the tallest in the USA west of Chicago at 1,100 ft. The skyscraper will also be a distinctive part of the Los Angeles skyline, as it will be the first to not feature a "flat roof" design, an integral part of existing buildings in Los Angeles. The project set a Guinness World Record for 21,200 cubic yards, or 82 million pounds, of concrete poured at the site in one continuous pour to create the building's 18 ft deep mat foundation.
