The intent of the project is to set high-rise building regulation up in the city of Jeddah. My role in the project is to survey,analysis,conclude, and define the following:
An introduction to high rise buildings and the high rise definitions according to the Jeddah Secretary. Also included are the factors affecting building height in Jeddah that are to be considered by investors, designers, and consultants.

 Urban design regulation: All the details related to urban and other planning aspects of high rise buildings in the city as a whole, e.g. the skyline and the city’s overall characteristics, the building’s surrounding area on a whole regarding traffic, pedestrians, neighborhood privacy, in addition are the planning regulations concerning the  building site, its lot coverage, setbacks, etc.

Architectural requirements: Includes a general view for architects regarding all high rise building’s design aspects, beginning with structure, mass, high rise building architectural frame, continuing with internal architectural details, including corridors, areas, elevators, and stories’ heights. There are also special considerations defined for green spaces, site coordination, lighting, and high rise building qualifications for people with disabilities.
