As fleeing urbanites leave the city for quarantine, and single family home sales have skyrocketed, a renewed interest in the suburbs has occurred. Within this trend, designers and developers have the opportunity to imagine how suburban life could become more walkable and challenge conventional constructs of community and place. The design strategy was to grow from the outside inward by placing mixed-use buildings at nodes where the development makes contact with Village Green Drive. The design does not remove any existing housing or affect any individually owned single family properties. in an effort to promote community involvement in the development.
