San Francisco High-rise was the capstone
project for my undergraduate degree. We
traveled to San Francisco and chose a site
from downtown to design a multi-use high-rise
with a partner of our choice. Our goal was to
design the street life of downtown San Francisco
vertically. We also had to incorporate sustainable
design solutions into the building and a green
space at the base of the high-rise for public use.
Since our site was next to the proposed new
Trans-bay Terminal, we used a sky walk to
connect the roof top park of the terminal to
our high-rise giving occupant’s easy access to
public transportation and the park.
