Private Client, Executive Office Modernization

A complete executive office renovation repositions this organization to better accomplish their mission with added space for entertaining and educational programming.

The renovation transforms a previously dark and uninspiring office floor into a vibrant and welcoming space for both staff and visitors. Thoughtful space planning improves access to natural daylight, increases space efficiency, and enhances cross-departmental collaboration. The new office suite fosters a positive and productive work environment while leaving a lasting impression on all who enter.

OUR APPROACH
Meeting the challenge of the existing floor’s compartmentalized layout, the design eliminates the central corridor to open up the space. Using interior glazing, a combination of glass sliding wall partitions, storefront, and floor to ceiling windows allow natural light into offices, conference rooms, and huddle spaces. The elimination of private suites and reorganization of departments is designed to encourage interaction between staff and provide more flexibility to organize seating as work needs adjust over time.

IMPACT
A phased renovation reduces the number of traditional office spaces while creating new areas dedicated to host visitors and provide educational workshops. By reimagining the floor layout, the renovated space fosters collaboration, enhances employee well-being, and provides opportunities for socialization and learning.

The client’s medical research background provides much of the inspiration for the interior architecture, lighting, and materiality of the space, instilling a personal connection between the building, its users, and their work. Project also includes development of a detailed furniture plan and specifications.
