The intention of this project is to create a Marine Research Center which attracts Marine biologists, as well as students. In order to accomplish this, the buildings must cater to the functional needs of a person in the Caribbean, as well as the needs of a marine biologist. State of the art technology and correct layout is necessary to attract these biologists. The only way to create a space that makes sense to a biologist is to be educated in the trade. Sustainability is another important aspect of this project, not just to satisfy morals but to be efficient with the amount of resources that is available in this area. Rain water collection is a major issue to consider. This area only gets approximately 40 inches of rain per year so it is important to collect it and use it efficiently.
