I'm a recent college graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design from Michigan State University. I am currently pursuing a career in commercial, corporate, hospitality, and retail design at a medium to large size firm. 

I have a strong passion for researching and implementing sustainable and innovative design strategies into each project, and am currently in the process of pursuing my LEED and NCIDQ certifications.


Nature's Way Landscaping, Stevensville, MI, SketchUp Artist/Draftsman

I am currently working as a SketchUp artist and draftsman at a landscape architecture firm. My responsibilities include:
- Taking field measurements and documenting existing conditions upon site visits
- Hand-drafting landscape plans with proposed improvements and landscape designs for existing sites
- Hand-rendering finalized landscape plans for client presentations
- Generating 2D construction drawings and 3D models using SketchUp and other Building Information Modeling (BIM) software

Nov 2017 - current

PACE HOWE DESIGN, Lansing, MI, US, Interior Design Intern

I worked as an interior design intern for one year at a commercial
design firm, with a primary focus on healthcare design. My responsibilities included:
- Managing the materials and resource library
- Communicating with vendors and meeting with product representatives
- Interfacing with consultants and clients
- Ordering and tracking FF&E selections
- Preparing color and material palette options for clients
- Participating in client meetings and site visits
- Coordinating with architects and generating construction documents in AutoCAD
- Space planning
- Creating 3D models using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
- Preparing client presentations in PowerPoint
- Taking field measurements and documenting existing conditions upon
site visits
- Preparing project finish legends/schedules and budget spreadsheets

The Interior Design Program at Michigan State University is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). The ID Program is one of the four academic programs within the School of Planning, Design, & Construction.

The courses in this program teach programming, design analysis, space planning, interior construction, building codes, materials, furnishings and equipment. Teaching in this program focuses on design education and pedagogy; design theory and application; historic preservation and conservation of the built environment; sustainable design; visual communication and technology; and indoor environmental quality.

Michigan Competitive Scholarship, Scholarship

The Michigan Competitive Scholarship is available to undergraduate students pursuing their first degree. Students must demonstrate merit to qualify for the award, as well as achieve a qualifying ACT score prior to entering college.
