Designed in collaboration with MA Architects. A single family client purchased an existing 3-story warehouse building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, along with an adjacent empty lot. The program is to build a 2-story new building in the adjacent lot, as well as add 3-stories to the existing 3- story warehouse. The client will occupy 3 of the six stories, whilst placing an art gallery at the base and a for sale apartment at the upper floors. A contemporary Cor-Ten steel curtain wall will wrap the new addition in a proportion that echoes the existing cast iron windows of old Industrial New York Lofts. Multiple terraces are designed to capture the incredible views of Brooklyn and across the east river to Manhattan.
