This 428 Meter Tower was a commissioned proposal for a state owned devoloper in cooperation with the city of Tianjin and TADI (Tianjin Architecture and Design Institute).  The tower aimed to integrate motif's of Chinese antiquity with intelligent facade design to create a unique and iconic presence for the CBD.  Currently the client is working through political changes in the city and considering a scaled down version of the project.
