This museum was one of five cultural buildings with the master plan for the CBD submitted in the Tianjin Eco City invited competition.  Archiland International won the master plan and two of the cultural buildings one of which was this science museum.  It will start design development early 2013. Other winners included GMP and Steven Holl, each of which will have one large cultural building to their credit.
