AAmp was commissioned to fully renovate a narrow 100-year old townhouse in Toronto’s West End, and provide a third floor addition. The interior was completely reimagined as an open-plan space that allows for more natural light, and a greater flexibility for the clients. Color, materials and lighting were used as a way to define different spaces and uses within the house. In particular, a black stair running through the three floors is prominent element to draw users through the space.
