2011 Piazza Studies and Re-design. Rome, Italy: the piazza studies examined general geometry, boundary edge conditions, landscape, furniture, axial relationships, and human activity in relation to gathering areas and focal points. The re-designed piazza created a new space with a new fountain within existing space. It created three spaces for three audiences. The fountain is the focal point: it cools the air, directing circulation around it. It attracts and orients tourists.
