Awards 

NOMA Annual Student Design Competition, 1st Place

The Sam Fox School proposal, titled “Embodying Legacy,” is a project which aims to inspire economic growth, physical and mental health, creative living, sustainable environments, and new ways of experiencing Detroit. The Embodying Legacy District aims to encourage cultural expression by developing education, production, and income creation opportunities for the historic Black Bottom and Brush Park, neighborhoods currently displaced by urban renewal, and highway I-375.

Charles E. Peterson Prize, 3rd Place

This is the highest award for surveying and mapping of ancient buildings in the United States, and the works are included in the Library of Congress. The work is a renewal conservation project for the SAMARA House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
