Furmano Foods, Inc., Northumberland, PA - Wastewater Treatment Plant - Superintendent - The facility included a Control Building with a Control/Processing Room, Ancillary Equipment Room and a Laboratory. The anaerobic digester system utilizes a 7.5 million gallon covered tank including a 3 blower biogas/methane collection/recovery system utilizing a 2G-CENERGY biogas CHP (Combined Heat & Power) cogeneration module, including gas treatment with twin carbon filter tanks, interconnection switchgear, and state of the art emissions control technology with a flaring stack. Construction included: Site preparation, excavation, concrete,crane pad, site road, equipment erection utilized a 220 ton mobile crane, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls, process piping, insulation, supports, and painting. Commissioning duties included: Training of all plant operators, cleaning, complete check-out and run-in of equipment, testing all installations, plant start-up, and turn-over of an operational plant. This plant will generate 2,075MW/h of electricity and 9,800MMBTU of thermal/steam energy per year. Digester tank was 208' diameter, 790c.y. concrete pad, 72 pre-cast concrete wall panels 9'w x 32'h, erected with a 160T crane.
