About

Human Resource Manager

I have been self-employed for over 24 years and I now realize that I no longer like working for myself. I found it to be much more rewarding when I am out in the field where I can focus on the job at hand of being a great Superintendent, without the concerns of being a business owner. I am seeking a challenging position as an Onsite "Competent Person" Superintendent for all constructability and safety matters with a company whose goal is zero workplace incidents in the Commercial or Industrial sector where my effective management and creative approach to problem solving will make me an immediate asset as an individual, and as well, a team player. Why should you hire me? Because I do what I say I'll do!

I have over 30 years of experience in the construction industry with involvement in estimating, surveying, drafting, roadway and pipeline inspection, as well as being a seasoned onsite construction supervisor in the position of a Construction Superintendent and Construction Manager. As a Construction Superintendent, I have over 25 years of diversified project experience having supervised all crafts utilizing multiple nationalities, with up to 60 craft workers on one site, in new-out-of-the-ground construction and in operational plants/buildings on Commercial, Industrial, TI/Tenant Improvement projects, and Pre-Engineered Buildings on union, non-union, and Davis-Bacon prevailing rate projects. My current certifications are: American Society of Professional Estimators - Certified Concrete Estimator, OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety, OSHA HAZWOPER 40, and FEMA IS-100 Incident Command Center.

As a Construction Estimator I have been responsible for doing quantity take-offs from specifications and drawings, pricing of material and man-hours for multiple disciplines, e.g., civil, heavily reinforced concrete, mechanical, process piping and supports, pipelines, electrical, instrumentation and controls, etc., with and without the use of estimating software.

Safety is paramount on the jobsite where my safety target is to have a zero injury workforce on each and every project. I believe a clean site goes hand-in-hand with safety. I practice and insist, on a clean and safe worksite, which allows for consistently delivering safe projects with zero man-hours lost due to injuries. On every project I diligently review and coordinate all vendor schedules along with subcontractor manpower loading on a continual basis, to avoid trade work area conflicts, which allows for strong planning, coordinating, and project execution. This ensures consistently delivering safe in-budget and on-time completion of projects that exceed client expectations.

I am available to travel up to 100%, willing to take a national or international position, and open to discussion on relocation anywhere. I have a working status of single with no children, which allows me to travel to wherever the project may be, and devote myself 100% to a project.

My hobby interests are hunting, fishing, fast old hot rods and custom Harley motorcycles. I own a customized 1984 Harley, 1967 Ford 427 Cobra kit car, and a 1969 Plymouth 440 GTX convertible. I have over ten years experience as a volunteer fire fighter, pump operator and first aid.

Thank you for this opportunity and your consideration in this matter.

                                                                                                                                    Sincerely,
                                                                                                                                    William (Bill) Leseberg
