Matthew Morris' new location on Walnut Street contributes to the up and coming, gritty but colorful RINO neighborhood. The new space revitalizes an old warehouse while incorporating 7 existing skylights into the design that allow for abundant natural light in addition to well designed artificial lighting.
A centrally located hub with reception, retail and processing support two points of entry and two separate styling areas. The result is an especially dynamic space where workplace, retail and costumer experience come together. Other goals for this project also included; maintaining a similar spatial flexibility enjoyed at the Broadway location; creating a retail experience that speaks to the customer; and providing sponsored processing areas that fuel retail sales. Many of the lessons learned at the successful Broadway location were employed at the new RINO location to improve upon the user experience for the stylists and clients alike.
